Al Zahya is a grid-planned residential district on the Ajman–Sharjah border and the community our office calls home. It is best known as one of Ajman's more affordable places to own a family villa or townhouse, with straight, wide streets and low-rise homes rather than towers.
You will see the name written three ways — Al Zahya, Al Zahia and Al Zaheya — all referring to the same Ajman community. It should not be confused with Al Zahia in Sharjah (the Sharjah Holding master community around City Centre Al Zahia), which is a different place entirely.
Al Zahya is overwhelmingly a low-rise, family-villa and townhouse market rather than an apartment district. Plots and homes tend to be generously sized for the price compared with Sharjah or Dubai equivalents.
Al Zahya is commonly described as a freehold-style community, but designated-area status can differ plot by plot. Confirm ownership rights for a specific property with ARRA / the Ajman Land Department before you buy.
